MEDICAL DEVICE MANUFACTURING:
Began design for new, expanded manufacturing facility, hired firm for detailed engineering, assisted with locating and qualifying buildings for facility.
Hired and trained new production personnel in cGMP environment on all aspects of manufacturing blood filters for human use, improved the hiring and on-boarding process, performed Installation Qualification/Operational Qualification/Process Qualifications for new equipment, created dramatic process improvements, resulting in up to a 30% manufacturing cost reduction.
Performed instrument calibrations, revised standard operating procedures, and manufactured devices including suspension polymerization, polymer cleaning, particle sizing, and device housing filling in clean room environment.
Developed second generation materials for blood filter device.
Assisted with documentation required for CE Mark approval.

PROCESS WASTE WATER HANDING
Designing new and expanded facilities to improve handling and treating process waste water to permit recycling and reduce disposal cost in several locations.
Designed two co-generation (CHP) systems using biogas feed from anaerobic digesters to feed microturbines. Prepared material and energy balances, piping & instrumentation diagrams, equipment specifications, investigated digester operation improvements.
Improved co-generation system thermal efficiency through improved heat recovery; designed hot water storage and distribution system with controls.
